David W. "Buzz" Ruttenburg

Principal

Mr. Ruttenberg is the President of Lakewest, Inc, Founder of Belgravia Group, Ltd., and a Principal in the law firm of Ruttenberg Gilmartin Reis LLC. He obtained an undergraduate degree at Cornell University, a J.D., cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, and pursued post-graduate studies at London School of Economics.

For more than 40 years, Mr. Ruttenberg has been actively involved in the development of residential, retail and commercial properties, principally located in the core communities of Chicago. Mr. Ruttenberg is a Lifetime Trustee of the Francis W. Parker School and actively serves on boards for Friends of the Parks, UCAN, the Conservation Center, and was recently a member for the Dean's Advisory Council of Northwestern University School of Law. His recent honors include the 2010 Hall of Fame Award from the Chicago Association of Realtors, the 2009 Distinguished Entrepreneur Award from Northwestern University School of Law Small Business Opportunity Center and the 2007 Key Legend Award of the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago. Additionally, Mr. Ruttenberg was the emcee for the 2012 Chicago Association of Realtors Good Neighbor Awards.

Wayne "Skip" Gilmartin

principal

Mr. Gilmartin graduated with a BA in History from the University of Notre Dame in 1970 and received his Juris Doctor from the University of Chicago Law School in 1975. From 1975 to 1979, Mr. Gilmartin practiced law at Schiff Hardin & Waite in Chicago. In 1979, he joined Goldberg, Kohn, Bell, Black, Rosenbloom & Moritz, Ltd, where he became a partner. As a principal of that firm, he played a major role in growing the firm from 6 lawyers to in excess of 70 lawyers. Mr. Gilmartin specializes in commercial real estate transactions and his practice has included the representation of major real estate developers, investors, management companies and lenders. In 2000, Mr. Gilmartin began practicing law as a sole practitioner while pursuing real estate investment and development. Mr. Gilmartin joined Ruttenberg Gilmartin Reis in 2013. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Gilmartin has taught commercial real estate courses at the University of Chicago Law School.

Jeremy E. Reis

principal

Jeremy graduated with a BA in Political Science from the University of Vermont in 1997. He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the State University of New York, Buffalo School of Law in 2000. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Reis was an associate in the Real Estate Practice Group with the law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago. While at Katten, Mr. Reis represented major institutional and conduit lenders, developers, investors, borrowers, landlords and tenants in structuring, negotiating and documenting all aspects of commercial real estate, finance and leasing transactions.

In 2005, Mr. Reis became VP and General Counsel of Belgravia Group, Ltd., a residential and commercial development company. Mr. Reis continues to hold his position as well as being a Principal in the law firm Ruttenberg Gilmartin Reis. Mr. Reis manages day to day internal and external legal affairs of Belgravia and its affiliated companies. His responsibilities include the structuring and oversight of all legal aspects of condominium and townhome development projects. Mr. Reis manages a host of real estate purchase and sales transactions from inception to completion. He represents lenders, issuers and borrowers in a full range of financing structures. His practice also includes corporate matters in connection with private equity fund raising including drafting private placement memoranda and subscription documentation, operating and joint venture agreements.
